AI workforce management: what WorkOrbit does today and what is planned
AI workforce management is a growing category, and much of what is marketed under it is ordinary reporting. This page is deliberately plain about the difference between WorkOrbit's current capabilities and the AI-powered workforce analytics on our roadmap.
Available today: rules-based workforce analytics
WorkOrbit currently classifies and aggregates activity using rules you configure (productivity categories, working-hours policy, idle thresholds) and reports trends across people, teams and departments. This is deterministic analytics, not machine learning, and it is what today's dashboards are built on.
- Configurable productivity classification
- Automatic attendance, working-time and idle-time measurement
- Trend and comparison reporting across the organisation
On the roadmap: AI productivity insights
Planned work focuses on surfacing patterns a manager would otherwise have to look for: unusual workload shifts, sustained overwork, under-utilised capacity and anomalies in attendance. These features are in development and are not part of the current product.
- Anomaly detection in attendance and activity patterns
- Workload and capacity suggestions for managers
- Narrative summaries of team performance trends
Our position on AI claims
We will not describe rules-based reporting as artificial intelligence. When AI features ship, this page will state exactly what they do and what data they use. Until then, treat the roadmap section above as planned, not delivered.
